Along Oderstraße in Neukölln, a narrow site unfolds between the wide expanse of Tempelhofer Feld and the passing S-Bahn tracks. On this challenging plot, a new residential quarter is emerging – shaped by its distinctive setting and offering an appealing place to live close to the open field and the vibrant Schillerkiez. The seven-storey building follows the urban rhythm of its neighbouring structure while responding to the existing topography. Its U-shaped form opens toward a green embankment, creating an inner courtyard sheltered on three sides. This courtyard becomes a shared outdoor retreat, offering residents a space with a strong sense of comfort and community. A gallery walkway facing the courtyard provides access to the apartments and extends the private living areas into semi-public zones. In this way, the architecture weaves together urban density and generous open space. The result is a lively place that balances its urban context, living comfort, and social quality in a harmonious whole.
