In Berlin-Kreuzberg, BFA has fully renovated and modernised two apartments in a building from 1888. The work focused on improving energy efficiency while keeping the historical character of the rooms. Original features like stucco, doors, windows, and flooring were carefully restored based on historical models. Built-in furniture, a modern heating system with a condensing boiler, and simply designed bathrooms bring the apartments up to today’s living standards. A special detail is the well-balanced colour scheme developed for the walls, windows, doors, and built-ins. The renovation is timeless, elegant, and meets modern living needs while bringing back the historic charm of these old apartments.
